By accessing or using Lexico Editing's services, website, or any related platforms, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using our services.

These terms apply to all users of the site, including clients, editors, and any other visitors. By placing an order you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted these terms in full.

Lexico Editing provides professional academic editing, proofreading, translation, and formatting services for scholarly documents including research papers, theses, dissertations, journal articles, and related academic content.

All editing services are performed by qualified professionals. However, we do not guarantee publication, acceptance by journals, or any specific academic outcome. Our role is to improve the language quality and presentation of your document — not to rewrite its content or change its intellectual substance.

We reserve the right to refuse, cancel, or modify service requests at our discretion, particularly where the content submitted violates ethical guidelines or applicable laws.

All orders are subject to acceptance by Lexico Editing. We reserve the right to decline any order without providing a reason.

Payment must be received in full before work begins unless a prior written agreement has been made. All prices are listed in USD. We accept payment via Stripe (credit/debit card). We do not store payment card details.

Prices are subject to change without notice. The price quoted at the time of order will be honored for that specific order. Any additional work requested after an order has commenced may incur additional charges.

You retain full ownership and intellectual property rights over all documents and content you submit to us. By submitting your document, you grant Lexico Editing a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access, process, and edit your document solely for the purpose of providing the requested service.

The Certificate of Editing issued by Lexico Editing is the intellectual property of Lexico Editing and may not be altered, reproduced, or used in a misleading manner. The certificate is linked to a specific order and may be revoked if the order is refunded or if misuse is detected.

All tools, templates, software, and proprietary processes used by Lexico Editing remain the exclusive property of Lexico Editing.

Lexico Editing treats all client documents as strictly confidential. We will not share, sell, publish, or disclose your document or any portion of it to any third party without your explicit written consent, except as required by law.

Our editors and staff are bound by confidentiality obligations. Documents are stored securely and access is limited to authorized personnel involved in processing your specific order.

We retain uploaded files for a limited period after order completion for quality assurance purposes, after which they are permanently deleted from our servers.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Lexico Editing shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or academic opportunity, arising out of or in connection with the use of our services.

Our total liability for any claim arising from a specific order shall not exceed the amount paid for that order. We make no warranty that our services will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that the results obtained from use of the services will meet your requirements.

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New Hampshire, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes arising from or relating to these terms or our services that cannot be resolved informally shall be submitted to the jurisdiction of the courts located in Hillsborough County, New Hampshire.

Lexico Editing reserves the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. We will notify users of material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, by sending an email notification.

Your continued use of our services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new terms. We encourage you to review these terms periodically.
